This project is included to show experience with master planning projects.
Designed to be a retirement community in the heart of South Louisiana, this 19.5 acre site would feature residential lots for 1,200 to 1,500 square foot cottages, a club house area for by the residents, new office complex geared towards medical professionals, pocket parks, and vibrant mix-use area that would have a boutique hotel and buildings with programed spaces for local businesses on the first floor with the upper floors housing apartments. Much of the design for the masterplan was influenced by Traditional Neighborhood Development principals along with the principals set forth in the Louisiana Speaks pattern books published by the Louisiana Recovery Authority.
